late arsenal-boro review as it is nothing left to say

So it is an away 1-1 draw with boro. The same result goes to the rest of the so called Big Team with Chelsea, MU & Liverpool all dropping two points. So it means status quo in terms of the points for the Big team and the Big winner is Aston Villa that overtook Arsenal for fourth place. As far as the result is concerned we are still in the race for the title..hmm..the performance against boro is nothing to be proud of. Unimpressive performance like this has becoming a routine for arsenal with low fighting spirit among the players especially the make shift trio; song, diaby and denilson. Diaby is the worse of the 3 of them. Obviously the team is not good enough and need immediate improvement during this January transfer window.

not taking it seriously enough..

the team has not taken the game against porto seriously enough. With a weakened side after missing 7 players for various reasons. what is left is to play the young squad against a determined porto squad. Is it a hell of a fight? not actually..in facts it was a simple 2-0 win for porto against a team that was just there to complete their schedule. Before the game, Arsène Wenger said he would feel “guilty” if Arsenal did not win Champions League Group G and ended up with a tough draw in the Knockout Round. I believe that he didn't take the game seriously enough. . He may feel even much guilty if we get barca or bayern in the next round. He may say we should not fear anyone but i do fear bayern and barca. At the end of the day, the game against porto yesterday was like a friendly match to expose some of the young players like ramsey, wilshere, gibbs, randall and the rest just enjoyed their away trip...

a win against wigan but a player gettin' a booo

weekend match against wigan. A slim win 1-0 and could get few more but two shots hit the post. Not much to talk about the win but the performance of the team was fairly ok. After scoring the first goal, the team is struggled to find the second goal as Wigan never allowed us to play our normal game with tight defending and competing for every ball. Wigan did put up the fight and occasionally threatened the defense. The moment of truth of the game was when eboue was getting booed by the home fans. Some bloggers said it was a disgrace but i would say that a lousy player like him who lost balls most of the time fully deserved it.

nafisa is two years old today

it is my youngest daughter's birthday today. Time has gone so fast, Nafisa or simply known as fifi is now two years old. She looks exactly like her elder sister (dida) why not?..both of them are quite hyperactive and talkative.
fifi (6 months old)
I must thank God (Syukur Alhamdulillah) that both of my daughters are granted by Allah SWT with good health and protect them from any harm. Having both of them is the best thing ever happened to me.

fifi (0ne year old)

Unlike my elder daughter, my wife is still breastfeeding fifi until today. I think dida just get breastfeeding for few months or maybe not at all. but never mind as long as both of them are in good health, thats fine with me.

opportunities is there but luck is absent..

stay up to watch quarterfinal match against burnley this morning.....burney beat us 2-0...as expected the youngsters were given opportunity to wear red and white shirts against the organised burnley side with little exception of the captain of the day, 31 yr old silvestre who was not featured for the winning side against chelsea last weekend...sign of inexperienced and immaturity is there to see as the team is struggling to play an away game against the industrialised burnley side...indeed it is not an easy task!..the team did create couple of chances and SIX (6) clear cut chances, one by one with the keeper but yet the team failed and wasted that opportunities..we are little bit naive particularly at the centre back and midfield...and most of the time our left and right back are left exposed with no tracking back by the wingers...maybe this match is part of learning curve for the young team..obviously there is lack of physical in our game.. at the end of the day, efficiency prevails, the team that took their chances won......i'm not totally disappointed with defeat..in fact I'm really proud of this young team..they have entertained us with their fine displayed especially in the previous two games..this team has great potential and will become stronger next year..maybe today is not our day and better luck for us next year...

babysitting is quite fun

dida & fifi in action

i'm on leave for 2 days...babysitting my 2 kids as our babysitter has been away for few days since last week..my wife already took 3 days leaves last week and this week is my turn to do so.....simple job actually......just ensure that they get enough food & drink and sleep..thats all!..just play cartoon dvd and kid stuffs all day long so they can concentrate on their own stuffs and won't bother us too much...forget about watching our own favourite tv shows and so forth....but never took our eyes away from them..just to make sure everything is under control.....we'll never know..things just happened!!!...
arsenal kids will face Burney in the Quarterfinal Carling Cup tommorow....expected ramsey, wilshere, vela, simpson, merida and others to play...these bunch of players are not afraid and will fight to win the game..go young guns!..

arsenal wins the battle of the Bridge..

unstoppable shot from van persie ( photo taken from Getty Images)

the team has high confident..honestly i'm little bit worried when i saw the team line-up...putting denilson and song at the middle will always be risky but they perfomed well throughout the game [particularly in the second half...chelsea took the lead through unlucky first half own goal by djourou who tried to clear the cross from bosingwa..the score remained the same in the end of first half..first half performance was not too bad for us...we had few decent chances to score...with what was shown, i'm still believe that we can score equaliser in the second half provided if we can dominate the central midfield...for the first 15 minutes in the second, chelsea dominated the game, but things changed after we got equaliser through wonderful blast from van persie..then he scored his second with a tight angle unstoppable shot ..chelsea tried to fight but we responded well and stopped them from playing...it is a sweet victory and like i said before the game it is a test of our character and with the self believe...we can go further and challenge for the title...

edel's wedding

edel and wife

family photo taken while attending the other wedding

got few weeding invitations for this weekend but just managed to attend two of them. One of them is edel's wedding. At laaaastttt my friend...He is a good old friend of mine and we grew up together in sibu. We were classmate at the lower secondary level at SMK Kpg Nangka, Sibu. Back then, we spent our past time playing snooker. It is not easy to beat this guy anyway. Now he is a civil engineer serving for DID Federal. Last station that he served was IADP Kelaka Saribas and now is somewhere in Johor. My wish to edel and his wife is selamat pengantin baru, semoga berbahagia ke anak cucu. We spoke last friday and I did ask him few questions such as kawu ready kah? (are you ready for it?); pandei kawu? (do u know how to perform it?)..he just laughed and confidently responded ..hehehe

new CEO for the club

new CEO of arsenal, please sign a new defensive midfielder and centre back

Arsenal has announced the appointment of Ivan Gazidis as the new CEO for the club. South Africa-born, 44 year old Oxford graduate will start his duty in January 2009. With his impressive credentials especially in sport marketing and managing players' contracts should help the club to grow further...this news is not a typical football news but the appointment of the CEO is so important right now which at least, can release the burden of the manager in dealing with complicated players' contracts and signing the best players to play for the club...i really hope he will be busy in getting new players this january....

Arsenal in the knock-out stage..hoooraay

first official duty for captain fabregas....a late finish by bendtner from a wonderful pass by the new captain enough to seal our place in the knock-out stage....wenger summed it up "it was a more steady than spectacular performance". . this win will surely give badly needed confidence for the team as well as the fans....well done gunners..coming up next the blues at the bridge.....

Captain Fabregas

King Fabregas

the good news of the week is already out..it is confirmed now that King Fabregas is the new captain for arsenal to replace gallas..he will start his duty for tomorrow champ league match at home against dynamo kiev..this is a new era for arsenal and i really hope arsenal will bounce back and start winning again...i'm away at the moment attending a meeting in EPU,KL..this is my third KL meetings in a row for the last 3 weeks...

easier say than done

disappointed with the result against man city..though knew the result earlier but still wanting to watch the delayed match....ideally for the game like this, ceteris peribus at least we get is a draw..but things seems to be different this season..thats why i found it difficult to accept and swallow it..i thought with gallas gone (temporary), the players will be motivated to fight and win the game..honestly the performance is better the earlier match against villa..the defense let the team down plus poor perfomance by the central midfielders(song and denilson)...obviously the club is crisis and the past 2 weeks are the darkest period of the year for the gunners all over the world...hopefully it will change pretty soon...

gallas gone..

there are so many things happening at the arsenal club but the moment of truth for this week is william gallas stripped of arsenal captaincy after his bizarre comments made on the team mates (which i don't want to elaborate more..)..not exactly sure whether he refused to join the team or being dropped by the manager for man city game as there is no officially release on this by the club..as usual...personally i'm not a fan of the former captain as his blunders has cost us a few games..he seems to have no leadership quality to influence and bring the team to the next level...now he is gone, its time to start a new era for arsenal..the most qualified player to replace him in my opinion is none other than KING Fabregas..although i would not dissappointed if the next best candidate, Clichy is to be appointed ...several first team players won't be available for the game i.e sagna, eboue, toure, adebayor, walcott, fabregas and gallas against man city tonight..it will be interesting to see young players like ramsey, wilshere, gavin hoyte taking their places..come on gunners..lets fight and win...

yo-yo performance by arsenal

2-0 defeat...fourth defeat of the season....can safely said that our title race is finally over...the game against villa is the worst performance for this season..yet another one..hmmm how many more to come this season?...it is not me to decide but the manager should be responsible to avoid this to happen again...disappointed not only only with the performance but the commitment as well ..the team showed no fighting spirit at all throughout the game...leadership is no way to be found..dunno who is going to be blamed for this!....proven time and time again that gallas has no leadership quality..apart from that the team badly need a proper defensive midfielder and a decent cetre back..of course this matter has been raised by the arsebloggers even before the start of the season..but wenger ignored it instead trying to be creative experimenting song and denilson to replace hardworking flamini....january transfer window is around the corner..i think its better to sort this problem before we don't even qualify for champ league next season...Got to travel again this evening to attend POIC meeting in KL tomorrow..

Photos Taken During KL Trip

my two princesses: dida & fifi enjoyed themselves at the national zoo

Photo of my 3 Divas at the Aquaria

photo taken by my eldest daughter right in front of the national zoo

it is not a typical well planned vacation..in fact it is a last minute kind of thing..both my daughters have never been to KL and this is their first time using flight!!.. bringing kids for this kind of trip is not easy..really!!...anyway i must salute and really thankful to my both daughters for behaving well MOST of the time during the short trip. Surely this kind of the trip to KL would not be last and still more to come...may be sabah is our next destination...

hard fought victory

at last something to cheer us up..after a disappointing weeks with one lost and 2 draw finally we get our victory against the last year double champion, manyoo...wow! that was a stunner, two goals from nasri enough to secure our win though manyoo did pull back one goal through da silva..both teams really fight throughout the whole period of the game but the team that took their chances eventually won...every gunners are looking for the team to respond prior to this game, this victory had been an emphatic answer for all of us...keep it up gunner...

arsenal vs manyoo..

don't want to say much before the game...so no prediction..no preview for this game..hope for the best...go gunners...

KL trip..

both my wife and I will be off to KL this week for official duties..she will go earlier, tomorrow then straight to Melaka to attend SDSI Expo..she will only be back to KL on saturday..while I'm supposed to go this sunday as meeting will be on monday...as both of us will be off to KL then might as well bring along together my two kids..after all both of them have not been to KL or to be specific outside Sarawak..so my family will have a short vacation after all....yeah!..unexpectedly..i can't go earlier as i 'm still have 'special duty' at my boss's house this saturday....so before sunday, i have to babysit my two kids...handling the elder one (5 years +) is a little bit easier than the younger one. who just 1 year +...my wife is still breastfeeding her..tomorrow's night she will definitely cry all night long missing her mum....that is a challenge for me...same goes to arsenal tommorrow morning..facing fenerbenche at home should be no problem..go gunners...

crazy defending...against stoke city

why nasri and walcott did not start is questionable..with 2 goals from throw in showed our weakness and soft spot at the centre back...it is not a new issue and in fact it has been there for a while...surprisingly the manager has not addressed this problem this season and instead still depending on the same bunch of players who keep on making the same mistakes all over again...spending hours reading arsenal bloggers responding from the outcome of this match.. it is no surprise that most gunners all over the world are questioning the decision made by arsene wenger lately....some are even calling for his head which i dare not touch at the moment..i do not wish to elaborate further about the game, suffice to say that overall performance was very poor..the only positive coming from this match is clichy first ever senior goal..well done clichy..he has been a fighter for our team and keep it up..crucial matches next..we need to bounce back to restore everybody confidence which is very low at the moment..

stoke city vs arsenal

a test of our mental strenght and our character after unexpected and dissapointed draw against low class spurs....stoke city will play direct football and expect them to bombard arsenal with setpieces....wenger has indicated that there will be rotation and expect kolo toure to start to beef up our defense...for me, djourou will be suitable to counter setpieces...expecting the team to bounce back..2-0 win will be nice..

"kekasih kuseru" last episode..

season finale last night for kekasih kuseru one of the best that I have seen so far...obviously there are lots of quality being put to produce this horror drama series.. well done to the whole production team ...of course the most influenced character is none other than 'waris'..i thought once he is put to death for good! than walla!! happy ending..towards the end, this crazy woman, character played by kuza brought him back..crazy.. but at least there is going to be a season II? hopefully..

Next Game: Against Spurs

local derby match against spurs will normally turn out to be a classic encounter..last season we did a double against them in the league but we lost in the carling cup match.. before bolton game with Ramos still incharged spur may look like an easy target for arsenal but with Rednapp in the house as the new manager with an immediate impact of recording their first win of the season against bolton, they may think they can put up a fight against arsenal which make tommorrow match becoming more interesting..other than top team clashes (MU, Chelsea & Liverpool), this is the match I'm looking forward to watch...for me we are now in better position of hammering spurs for good as lately we have started playing consistently and the injured players are getting back.show no mercy to them gunners..come on gunners..and beat them we shall..3-0 would be nice...

update: 4-4 draw..threw away 4-2 with 1 minute +5 minutes extra to go..what a let down..i'm speechless..

win!

staying up late watching last night match arsenal against west ham..eventually turned up to be a winner..what a game? we never give up and continued with our passing game..as the stubborn opponents getting tired and ran out of gas then they started to make mistakes that led to the first goal and next the task becoming easy and our supersub-ManofThe Match adebayor scored the second goal..final score 2-0..just to add that finally liverpool broke chelsea's undefeated home record at Stamford Bridge with a deserved 1-nil win..all I can say that the blues never turn up for the game and benitez's game plan worked smoothly last night..though liverpool fan can proudly say that they are the biggest winner in the weekend but for arsenal, with MU and Chelsea dropping points we can rejuvenate our season and try to catch liverpool to be at the top of the league again..

"working" sunday

its sunday but i 'll be going to office this afternoon..don't ask as it is mandatory?..anyway got to fetch my mom, dad, uncle, aunties and cousins from the airport this evening..They should enjoy their holiday trip to Kota Kinabalu ..I also like KK especially of its seafoods and there is one sport shop overthere which sell variety of arsenal shirts which is not available here in Kuching..obviously most of the people here are fans of the other top 4 teams..london derby match tonight as arsenal will be facing west ham..a convincing win is expected..come on gunners!

win and win again

comeback win against everton..everton first took the lead due to our sloppy defense but the team managed to fightback in the second half and scored 2 goals through van persie and winning goal by unstoppable walcott...next game was Champ League game against Fenerbence..deserved win as we outplayed them and won 5-2...five scorers for that day adebayor, walcott, diaby, song and lastly 17yrs old remsey..classic game and really fun to watch...next 2 games will be interesting as we will face our london rivals, west ham and spurs..couldn't wait especially our game against spurs..

preview_arsenal vs everton

international break finally over..now is time for business as usual..next home game for arsenal is against everton..with sagna, gallas and bendtner will be out for 2 matches due to injury, arsenal defence will put with a stern test for our defense..of the three, sagna will be badly missed..djourou can take over central defense..while vela can be our supersub..i really hope that king fabregas could play and score..my prediction is a narrow win for arsenal 2-1...

things to do during raya break

just to say that i'm happy that I'm still on my raya leave..done plenty of things:"balik kampung" to my parents' house in sibu ..my kids really enjoyed their time in sibu..in fact sibu trip is always fun especially when driving for about 7 hours all the way to sibu.. spent 4 days in sibu then back to kch on the sixth days of Hari Raya or Syawal... jammin' was one of our pastime activities during my university days (90s)..back then hardcore, punk plus british indies influenced our band..the songs that we covered among others from or favourite hardcore + punk bands such as earthcrisis, downset, sick of it all, shelter, operation ivy and etc...with old band members (alem, hermz, apez and myself) back in town during this raya break, we managed to regroup and jamming for 2 hours..really enjoyed ourselves and ran of energy maybe due to age factor..maybe it can be organise annually and next raya we will jam again!
